Week of 8/12-8/16

We had a great first week. I enjoyed meeting you all. I'm enjoying getting to know everyone and building our routine. I know we are going to have a great year together!

Here’s a peak at next week:

Spelling words: at, hat, bad, an, ran, sat, had, am, can, that

(We will have our first spelling test on Friday!)

Phonics- short a

Reading- Daily 5- Read to Self

Math- numeration- counting: one to one correlation, number order, missing number, one more-one less

Writing- Learning to use our dictionary, writing complete sentences

Social Studies- I’m Glad To Be Me

Our library day is on Fridays! We will have our first visit this week!

***Our first MAP Math test is Tuesday, August 13, 8:00-9:30

***Our first MAP Reading test is Friday, August 23, 8:00-9:30

If you are planning to volunteer in the classroom or in the school, you must go to the Parent Volunteer Training Thursday, 8/15 at 6:30 PM or Friday 8/16 at 9:00AM.
