We are excited about the Book Fair! Our class will go on Monday, September 16th from 8:30-9:00. You are welcome to join us or just send money {in a labeled envelope} to school with your child. If you only want your child to purchase books, please send me a note. Thank you!
Progress reports went home today. I'm very proud of the students' progress. We are learning a lot in first grade! Please let me know if you have any questions about your child's report.

Reading-Daily Five/Reading Groups, asking and answering questions about what we read, main topic
Language Arts-punctuation, capitalization, sentence features, nouns, verbs, adjectives
Math-counting objects and representing them with a numeral up to 120, review number line, sequential and non-sequential order, counting on from any given number less than 120
Science-Seasons
Writing-Fictional narrative, sentence features: capitalization and punctuation

Sept. 13th- Progress Reports and Family Movie Night
RBES PTO Outdoor Family Movie Night featuring Wreck It Ralph is scheduled Friday, September 13th at NOHS soccer field. Get your lawn chairs and blankets ready! Gates open at 6:30pm for free family fun activities. DJ entertainment, games, raffles, prize cannon, and much more! FREE admission and FREE popcorn!! Chick-Fil-a dinners and concessions will be available for purchase. Movie starts approximately at 8:00pm.. We look forward to seeing you and having a great time together.
