Reading: Daily 5 with emphasis on beginning. middle and ending, finding evidence in text to support answer and retelling the story. What was the author's purpose? 

L.Arts:  Prefixes(im, pre, mis, re, un, dis)

Writing Workshop: 
Begin realistic fiction. What is it? How do I plan for it?

Math: Review addition and subtraction through number talks. Emphasis on greater than or less than this week.  < = >

Social Studies: Continuing learning map skills this week. We will be learning about oceans as well as exploring the world atlas and the difference between a map and globe.

                                 First Grade Play E-I-E-I-OOPS!


The first grade students will present three performances of the musical drama "E-I-E-I-Oops" on Thursday, March 31st. Our performances will be at 9:00, 10:15 a.m., and 7:00 p.m. 





We are seeking parent feedback on this state
survey.  
The results from the survey will be used by the Georgia Department of Education to calculate a statewide accountability rating called the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). Please visit the following link to participate in this important survey that will be published statewide as a component of the accountability system.


The Georgia Parent Survey will remain open through Friday, February 26, 2016. We appreciate your participation.

          


Please have your child participate in the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program by reading and recording 6 hours of reading.  Once they have completed and documented their reading, please have them return the completed form to me.  The deadline to submit your reading log is Friday, February 19.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  You can print out the forms below by clicking on the link.
