Friday is
the Thanksgiving Feast!
The feast will take place in the cafeteria during
our regular lunch time 11:55-12:25. We would love for you to join. Please read
the following tips carefully:
1) Arrive 5-10 minutes before your child’s scheduled
lunch time
2) Sign in at the table in the main lobby as you
head into the lunch room
3) You will be directed to a table or spare room to
eat with your child
4) We will have 3o minutes to eat from the time the
class arrives in the lunchroom, please make sure your child meets the class at
the end of this time or deliver them to the classroom
5) Don’t forget to sign out before you exit the
building J
*Please remind your child that the only lunch choice
offered will be the Thanksgiving meal.

As a first grade team we’ve decided that we will communicate
daily on an as needed basis about your child’s behavior at school. We want to
help bridge the gap of communication between home and school. Your child will not receive a
note if they have followed all guidelines at school. We will send an
opportunity note if your child required redirection or needs follow through at home.
Please sign and return the note to school by the next day. Thank you for your
support and accountability at home.

We will be partnering with our 5th grade
book buddies next Friday to make our annual Turkey cookies. We need your help.
Please respond all to my email if you able to donate one of the items below:

Twizzlers- 1 bag

FOUND
The RBES Lost and Found is in the hallway near the gym and cafeteria, right at the entrance to the cafeteria door. Over the last several weeks, we have added LOTS more coats and jackets to the Lost and Found. Please encourage your child to stop by the Lost and Found to see if they have an item there. If you are coming to school for the Thanksgiving Feast, please look through the Lost and Found while you are here! All items remaining in Lost and Found on Monday, November 18, will be donated or sold. All profits will come back to RBES Secret Santa fund.

Each year Oconee County families and businesses join together to provide
gifts for those families who are in need during the holidays. If you can
assist with Secret Santa in any way, please complete and return the form sent

ANNUAL OCONEE COUNTY SCHOOLS CAN-A-THON
Each year, schools throughout
Oconee County collect cans for ACTS, our local food bank. Please support
Rocky Branch to do our part in the can drive this year. Let's join
together and help our children experience the reward that comes from helping others.
Our school goal this year is 2000 cans!!

The first ever Georgia Parent Survey for the 2013-2014 school
year is available. It will be open from October 29, 2013- January 31, 2014. The
results from the survey will be used by the Georgia Department of Education to
calculate a statewide accountability rating called the School Climate Star
Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). Please

published statewide as a component of the new accountability system.
