It is time to get ready for the end of the year celebration! We have decided to have a whole grade level celebration with stations set up in each first grade classroom for students to rotate through from 8:45-11:05. After the fun stations, students will be served Raising Cane’s chicken tenders for lunch from 11:10-11:45.
Please send in $5 (cash only) in an envelope with your child's name/End of the Year Party by Friday, May 11th. This will cover the cost of lunch: two Raising Cane’s chicken tenders, chips, a sweet treat, and a drink.
**If your child would not like to eat chicken tenders, please plan to pack them a lunch from home.
End of the Year Party Schedule
8:45-11:05- Fun Stations (Dance Party, Outdoor Activities, Bingo, Musical Chairs, Summer Snack-trail mix, and other games)
11:10-11:45- Class Lunch (Cane’s chicken or lunch from home)
11:45-12:30- Activity Class

*All parents are welcome to join their child for the celebration. Anyone volunteering to help with the party/interact with other children must have completed the volunteer training. Please remember that taking pictures and/or videos of children other than your own is not allowed.
Thank you for helping us celebrate an awesome year in first grade!
Field Day
K-2 will have field day on May 10th. This is an all day event and includes water activities. Please send your child to school wearing sunscreen. They will also need an extra change of clothes (including shoes and undergarments).
Field Day Parent Spectator Section
Parents who would like to watch a few events are welcome to sit in the designated spectator section (similar to the DASH spectator section). Parents are asked to sign in at the front office. You will be directed to the spectator section and we request you do not leave that area.
Shoe Tying
If your child hasn’t mastered this skill yet, please practice at home.
Snack Reminders
We have a ten minute snack break every morning after our Daily 5 reading block. Please send in a small, healthy (low in sugar) snack with your child every day.
